नई दिल्ली (9 मई): प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की सरकार ने एक बार फिर ऐसा ऐलान किया है, जिसके बाद देश के गरीब आदमी को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी। प्रधानमंत्री उज्ज्वला योजना के तहत एलपीजी कनेक्शन (LPG) उपलब्ध कराने को लक्ष्य को पहले साल में सरकार ने पार कर लिया है। अब सरकार 2018-19 तक सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की तीन पेट्रोलियम विपणन कंपनियों के जरिए देश के 95.49 प्रतिशत परिवारों तक एलपीजी कनेक्शन पहुंचाने का लक्ष्य लेकर चल रही है। अभी यह आंकड़ा 72.8 प्रतिशत है।
- सूत्रों ने बताया कि चालू वित्त वर्ष में तीन करोड़ एलपीजी कनेक्शन मुहैया कराने का लक्ष्य है।
- 2018-19 में चार करोड़ कनेक्शन और उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे।
- इससे कुल एलपीजी कवरेज 95.49 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच जाएगा और सक्रिय कनेक्शनों की संख्या 26.87 करोड़ हो जाएगी।
- सूत्रों ने बताया कि सरकार ने अभी इस बारे में आंकड़ों को अंतिम रूप नहीं दिया है।
- मार्च, 2017 के अंत तक कुल एलपीजी कनेक्शनों की संख्या 19.87 करोड़ थी।
- यह इससे पिछले साल की तुलना में 3.25 करोड़ अधिक है।
- इस योजना के तहत 2016-17 में 2.2 करोड़ कनेक्शन जोड़े गए।
- यह पेट्रोलियम मंत्रालय के डेढ़ करोड़ कनेक्शनों के लक्ष्य से कहीं अधिक है।
- पीएमयूवाई जिला नोडल अधिकारी एस झा के अनुसार पश्चिम बंगाल में एलपीजी कवरेज का आंकड़ा 51.5 प्रतिशत से बढ़कर 67 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच गया है।
- यह राष्ट्रीय औसत 72.84 प्रतिशत से हालांकि कम है।

नयी दिल्ली: अब आप घर बैठे बिना पैसे दिए ऑनलाइन रेल टिकट बुक कर घर मंगा सकते हैं और घर पर टिकट की डिलीवरी होने क बाद आपको टिकट की राशि का भुगतान करना होगा। आईआरसीटीसी ने रेल टिकटों को घर पर पहुंचाने की व्यवस्था शुरू की है जिसमें यात्री नकदी समेत अन्य किसी भी तरीके से भुगतान कर सकते हैं।
इंडियन रेलवे कैटरिंग एंड टूरिज्म कॉर्पोरेशन ने ग्राहक सेवा का विस्तार करते हुए टिकट मिलने पर भुगतान की सेवा शुरू की है जिसमें यात्री ऑनलाइट ट्रेन टिकट बुक कर सकते हैं और टिकट मिलने पर पैसा दे सकते हैं। आईआरसीटीसी के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा कि आईआरसीटीसी ने अपनी वेबसाइट और मोबाइल एप्प के जरिये पे-ऑन-डिलिवरी :पीओडी: की शुरूआत की है।
अब अगर आप जल्दी ट्रेन छूटने के डर से बिना टिकट लिए ट्रेन में चढ़ हैं तो जुर्माना नहीं भरना पड़ेगा। अब आप सफर के दौरान भी टिकट ले सकते हैं। इससे यात्रियों को काफी राहत मिलेगी। रेलवे के इस तोहफे से बिना टिकट यात्रा करने वाले अब बहाने नहीं बना सकते हैं। पर ट्रेन छूटने के डर से बिना टिकट लिए ट्रेन में चढ़ने वालों के लिए यह बेहद अच्छी खबर है।
रेलवे ने अप्रैल से ऐसे लोगों को ट्रेनों में ही टिकट देने की व्यवस्था शुरू की है। यात्री ट्रेन में टीटीई से संपर्क कर टिकट ले सकेंगे। हालांकि अभी यह सुविधा सुपरफास्ट ट्रेनों में ही लागू की गई है। इसके परिणाम अच्छे रहे तो जल्द ही लंबी दूरी की अन्य ट्रेनों में भी इस व्यवस्था को लागू कर दिया जाएगा।
इसके लिए बिना टिकट लिए ट्रेन में चढ़ने वाले यात्रियों को सबसे पहले टीटीई को तलाश कर उसे बताना होगा कि उसके पास टिकट नहीं है और वह मशीन से टिकट दे दे। इसके बाद टीटीई संबंधित यात्री से तय किराए के साथ ही 10 रुपए अतिरिक्त शुल्क लेकर हैंड हेल्ड मशीन से टिकट निकालकर उसे दे देगा।
आरक्षित टिकट देने की यह सुविधा केवल सुपरफास्ट ट्रेनों में शुरू हुआ है जो कि बाद में व्यापक पैमाने पर हो सकता है। यह हैंड हेल्ड मशीन रेलवे के पैसेंजर रिजर्वेशन सिस्टम के सर्वर से कनेक्ट होगी। जैसे ही यात्री टिकट मांगेगा, मशीन में नाम और जगह डालते ही टिकट निकल आएगी। मशीन की मदद से ट्रेन में खाली बर्थों की जानकारी भी आसानी से मिलेगी। वेटिंग क्लीयर होने पर भी ट्रेन में खाली बर्थ की जानकारी हैंड हेल्ड मशीन में उपलब्ध होगी। यदि किसी यात्री की वेटिंग क्लीयर नहीं हुई है तो वह टीटीई के पास जाकर अपनी टिकट दिखाकर खाली सीट की जानकारी लेकर उसे कन्फर्म करा सकता है।

Facebook is facing issues of prior restraint it can't solve and that won't scale. That's the true danger to FB stock.

While most analysts remain bullish on Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), the company faces a war with itself — and its own users — that it seems incapable of winning. Thus, FB stock, which seems almost invincible, might be more vulnerable long-term than most people might want to admit to themselves.

People using the social network to lie, to steal and to dramatize death are far ahead of the site’s ability to police itself. The company is hiring 3,000 people to stop harmful content and is tweaking its algorithms, but it remains behind the curve.

So far this has only resulted in Facebook stock taking a pause, and 80% of analysts still say buy, buy, buy. Despite beating earnings estimates last week, however, FB shares fell $2 on May 4, and have since failed to recover the lost ground. The stock opened for trade May 8 at $150.50.

By some measures, FB stock is a bargain now. The company’s historically high price-to-earnings ratio is down to 37, and Facebook continues to bring in more than $1 of net income for every $3 in revenue. Facebook has no debt and generates $16 billion of operating cash flow per year on a market cap of $433 billion.

When activists like Jesse Jackson demand prior restraint to keep Facebook Live from showing murders and suicides, they are also demanding the tools that let leaders of oppressive regimes prevent their critics from using the service. This is the price Vietnam — and by extension, China — are demanding FB pay for entry into their markets, that critics of their governments not be heard.

New Yorker headlines like Facebook and the Murderer and The Failure of Facebook Democracy, however, show that these demands are no longer just those of dictators, but of mainstream democracy as well.

English police now trace one-third of all cyber-bullying incidents, 6,300 last year, to Facebook. Nearly half of USA Today’s own “likes” turn out to be from phony accounts.

What Facebook faces is the task of separating freedom from liberty. Freedom shouts fire in a crowded theater. Liberty demands governance, which makes Facebook a government, which puts it in competition with other governments … but also means those governments can dictate their own policies to it.

Right now, however, FB stock is in trouble because Facebook lacks the capability to engage in prior restraint. Prior restraint doesn’t scale, and the issue is one for lawyers, not for programmers. The company is trying to find out how people feel, but that is just a first step.

Facebook Inc’s (NASDAQ:FB) recent F8 conference was certainly no disappointment. The company showcased its efforts with augmented reality, which seems to be about crushing Snap Inc (NYSE:SNAP). But there were also futuristic experiments, such as a brain-to-computer interface and even the ability for skin to hear language. Yes, such things seem kind of zany, but hey, not long ago, so did Facebook and FB stock, right?

OK, but what were some of the things at F8 that are, well, more about the here-and-now? What may be the drivers for revenues for Facebook stock?

Interestingly, I think there was something that actually did not get too much attention: the Messenger platform. Even though there are roughly 1.2 billion monthly active users, the monetization has been fairly minimal. But this is likely to change soon — and yes, should be a nice boost to FB stock. As seen with Instagram, the company does have a knack for wringing dollars from apps.

Yet Messenger may prove an even bigger opportunity. The reason is that the app is a perfect fit for local commerce. Messenger is highly engaging, often used while people are on the go.

What’s more, millions of businesses already have Facebook pages, which are seamlessly connected to Messenger (note that 80% of messages from these pages come from Messenger). It’s also fairly easy to create a bot, which is essentially an app.

To this end, FB released Smart Replies, which leverages AI (Artificial Intelligence) to process common messages that restaurants receive from customers, such as for the hours, menu items and so on. The strategy is to blend human responses with automation – which should help to improve with the overall scaling. Although, there are already various large restaurants, such as Subway, Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) and Domino’s Pizza, Inc. (NYSE:DPZ) that use bots to allow customers to place orders.

And some companies are pushing the boundaries of innovation. Just look at Sephora, which has a bot that scans your photo and suggests the best lipstick color match. There is also a promotion to get a discount at a local retail outlet.

According to Facebook vice president David Marcus: “When you come to think of it, Messenger has become the de facto Yellow Pages without having any phone numbers. We have a shot of becoming the Yellow Pages of messaging too.”

The market for local commerce is definitely enormous — and should provide quite a bit of opportunity for Facebook stock. According to the most recent investor presentation from Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP), there 26 million local business in the U.S. and the spending on advertising is a whopping $140 billion.
